Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

His midfield partner for Strasbourg last season, Andrey Santos. He's something else and if we have money for Dibling and him then we'll have turned a crap into a great window.

Can imagine he'll push for a loan move at the end of the window if Chelsea aren't giving him playing time

Not at all. But you're histrionics are becoming a bit tiresome. We've made some purchases, we've tried for others, yeah we're a bit light but your cry baby attitude is neither helpful or going to rectify anything.

How is he a cry baby ? All he is doing is stating the obvious mate.

Just existing in this league is what really is tiresome.

Nothing anyone says on here is helpful or is going to rectify anything. The cringe positivity and blind faith isn’t going to help anything or make our recruitment team any more competent either.
Its not blind faith its just not in our control. I made my peace with the fact that in football sometimes just caring less makes you less stressed. If you can't have any bearing on the outcome which im assuming you don't, then why stress about it ?

Great article that. I remember that quote. So revealing isn’t it? Well worth the read. It shows the league designed this where a limited number of clubs are perennial winners because ‘that’s what the fans want’. Yeah, fans of those clubs. But what about fans of the thousands of other clubs whose hopes renew at the start of each season just to quickly see it fade as the script gets followed.

Well I would suggest apathy but that is a ludicrous take because they know millions of people are far too emotionally and passionately invested in their football teams. What’s the incentive for the clubs outside this “six” when they get well paid anyway.

Judge at the end of the window makes no sense when we will be judged on the pitch in meaningful football matches during August.

Every time I hear it said, I am totally baffled
Agree i get it in meaning that already have main targets in already and is just about adding to the squad depth. I do feel will be some good players that could be in the market late on loan

A couple of young players of his calibre signed on loan with options/obligations takes the team up a level.

Builds a foundation.

I'm inclined to agree with him.

What was the strategy for the window?

I cant see it at all.
A bit of youth, a bit of experience, ie a typical Moyes window. I wouldn't have expected anything different tbh.

Ornstein reporting Forest doing 3 transfers at once.
Meanwhile EFC transfer team are attending weekend BBQs basking in the glory of a loan signing.
