Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread


Still have 3 loan spots to use not sure what positions but towards end of the window some players will be able to go out on loan. I still feel moyes will try and bring in another striker

I think that Dibling would have been the fourth regular starter and still may be...hopefully.

If we get Dibling then I honestly do believe we could resign JH as cover there. I know many don't like this but I think it will happen . I think that could be a deadline day move .

A right back and cover in central midfield and I think that will be it...there will almost certainly be a loan or two in there.

Forget about JH it’s a disgrace he’s been here for 2 seasons never mind a third.

Right wing (especially) and right back have been priorities for a few years now. If there’s one position (some may consider both) that isn’t filled before the season starts that’d be considered a failure, in my opinion, it’s right wing. Very closely followed by right back. If there’s one position that required a list of several options, with full backing to secure at least one before Leeds, it’s right wing.

We’ve now learned that we’re ’all in’ on one guy a few days before the season. We needed to be ‘all in’ months ago if that’s the case. It’s bordering on negligent, not having a right side going into a winnable first game.

Having Jake O’Brien (CENTER BACK) and then a merry go round of not right wingers for a season IS the equivalent of giving up before it even starts.

But we’ve signed 2 keepers, good grief.

Depends what positions both out wide and in cm we loose players for the acon. Not panic from me is frustration from this having been over the last couple of seasons.
 

Are people focusing too much on the need for a right winger? I agree we need one and one with speed to give us something different but I think we are pretty well stcocked to go 4.3.2.1 formation. 3 in mid will help us keep the ball more. 2 behind Beto/Barry swapping sides, whipping the ball from outwide into the box not as important for us as it used to be. It was pretty much the only way DCL could score. I think we will be much better attacking unit and could see a spread of goals, would be great to get 2 or 3 players in double figures this season. Thats what we need to aim for.
