Barbarian was great, right up until the actual monster bit then it fell off quite hard imo. First half of that film was amazeballs though

I loved it, but I can respect that POV. It was never gonna be for everyone. Weapons didn’t go hard enough to divide opinion the same way IMO.

Thought the same. First half was great but thought the second half was genuinely awful.

Casablanca is just beautiful, but I watched it recent and saw Poitier the other night, so the stupidity of 'dead reckoning' it is. Everest is included because there's not much else on, it's a bit rubbish for me tbh.

'Predator : Killer of Killers'

Animated film featuring 3 stories that coalesce at the end.

Very well done, and it doesn't hold back on blood or violence. Really enjoyed it.

I hope they do more as although I don't read comics I know there is a LOT of material out there to do.

'Osiris'

Browsing the film catalogue and saw this. Hadn't heard of it, and the poster looked a bit cheesy.

Surprisingly good! In the same realm as Aliens/Predator. Creature costume not too bad either, reminds me of something from Resident Evil.

One of those with a has-been actor thrown into the cast, (Linda Hamilton), but it was fine.

It's definitely lower budget fare, but the sets are decent, and there isn't any pokey cgi that I noticed.

Definitely worth a watch if Alien Blasty films are your thing, a proper B-movie.

I didn’t realise that was Linda Hamilton on the poster.
Honest to god, I thought it was Ozzy Osbourne, and I assumed it must have had something to do with his recent passing.

Ta for that, mate. I might give it a go now.

Yeah, I saw that one and it just looked like one of those awful films Bruce Willis was seen in during his decline.

It's still a B-movie, but a well done one.

Watched Alien Romulus last night, before thinking about starting Alien Earth.

Switched it off after an hour - zero character development, the first act completely glossed over, unnecessary and unrealistic confrontational behaviour, appalling SFX with Ian Holm, unlikeable characters who I didn't care about. Urgh
