ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

It's a well worn playbook. Acknowledge the incident as a minor crowd related issue, make no mention of the team who the individual supports. Focus on the result, bigger picture. All is forgotten within 48 hours.
True but Semenyo’s name is forever in history as the player who stood up. He is a hero and he won’t appreciate it until he’s long retired.

Unless there's an angle for them to exploit, where they can swing the narrative 180 degrees in the completely opposite direction to make themselves out to look like they're the victim in the whole incident... In which case, that would take prevalence.

God knows that there's no way that they'd pass up the chance to play the victim once again.

Liverpool FC need to come out with a statement condemning their racist fans.
They'll single one out if they can, and prime the rest to be ever so vigilant when watching support elsewhere so as to scream loudest from the rooftops where possible. It's called deflection. Whataboutery. It wuz someone else throwing flares at the liver building. It was the locals jumping the gates in Paris. It was never oor carra spitting at a car full of kids etc.
