Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

Yeah, I'd actually like to see the buy back option be banned - it's just simply now another thing stacked in the favour of the huge clubs. Allows them to do a Chelsea and stockpile young players sell them on and ensure when the ones who develop look good they can bring them back cheap
The buy back fee is usually higher than the original transfer fee, so at least they're in effect, paying a price for that development.

I'd say with those type of deals historically, the player is not bought back more then they are.

He’s worth it for us because we don’t have a right winger. He improves us instantly, and 3 years down the line we would still get our money back.

There's plenty of wingers. Preferably ones with more pace and end product for the same price.

McNeil was hitting better end product that this lad was at the same age and will probably get more than this lad too over the season.

£40mill is a lot of money. Thats Richarlison levels of fee for the time. And this "we'll make it back in 3 years time"...if he does his ACLs we wont.

Its all down to preferences. Id prefer the fee to be lower or we got after someone who will deliver goals and assists for us for the high fee.

With all our alternatives either more expensive, without an interest in joining Everton or already signing for someone else, we now really don't have any option other than to conclude this deal however necessary. The market is cooked, it is what it is.

Get him in for Brighton, give him a long-term deal to protect the PSR, give him a bit time to develop and hope that in a year or two's time nobody gives a single f what we paid for him.

Richarlison was two years older than Dibling when we bought him, and was coming off a season in which he had scored five goals for Watford and none after November. People were up in arms at that fee at the time, and then by about October it was a joke in his song.

The lesson from Richarlison is that sometimes you have to take the punt on a higher fee for a young attacking player if you really believe in his potential. We were right then, and I do think we'd be right again with Dibling.
