Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Days of the likes of mick Lyons and the likes that truly loved the club are well gone.
The clubs look after themselves , so can't blame the players.
I don't get emotionally invested in any player these days .
The money is so huge its like a lottery win if they get the move.
What would any of us realistically do?
Fans give out about player loyalty
What about the clubs loyalty to players
Most clubs have no qualms about putting a player up for sale if he’s deemed surplus to requirements
Doesn’t matter if the players loves the club or doesn’t want to go
Look what Bill done with Ferguson
Players have a short career so they have to make the most of it

Our current situation is not good.

Not good at all.

We're a season long injury from making do and mending if any of our central defenders pick up a bad one.

The CM lacks a destroyer.

Our attack looks insipid.

We need 4 or 5 in and should have had at least 3 of those in by now ready to start the season.

The summer window's not far off being a calamity so far.
I reckon you just copied and pasted that from posts you have put up every August for the last 10 years
Or maybe just since BBS got the boot

No links and he is another left back but i would mind zinckenko off arsenal
he has been making loads of noise about not getting a game.
He is versatile plays in a few positions and has leadership
Would make a good addition to the squad.
Don't know what he would cost or if we could get a loan.
Be a mate for mykolenko as well.
May not be a mate of Mykolenko for long if he takes his spot in the first 11

I’ll never understand the third choice goalkeeper circuit. ‘Want to sit on our bench instead of the one you currently are?’ ‘Yeah sure’

….a career doing that makes him a very wealthy young man. If you add in, going to work every day at a luxurious training facility with top notch food. Nice if you can get it.

They won’t be anywhere near a relegation battle.
The lack of quality coming up will be an asset to them, but similar to Brentford (maybe more so, in fact) they have stripped away some real talent.

Kepa was a big asset to them last season, and he chose not to commit; they've let Zabarnyi, Huijsen and Kerkez go - 3 out of 4 of their defenders.

The likelihood of getting replacements as good as any of those singularly will be difficult, let alone collectively, so I think they will ship goals this year.

Obviously, Iraola is a good manager, and they have decent attacking options, so they will be fine compared to those coming up, but it'll be more difficult.

I wonder how long Iraola will stay if they keep allowing the squad to be stripped. As a whole, I think this could be a mad transitional year for some teams!

If you were him would you care.
He has been stopped from a big move by his club massive wage increase, playing in a lower division
If you were offerd a better job ten times the wages and your boss stopped you would you put the effort in?
I know I wouldn't ,
i would just go through the motions till I got out.
I would be made up if someone put that much effort in to join Everton myself .
If he turned out good I wouldn't care what his former clubs supporters thought.
Yeah
You might be made up that a player acts dishonestly to join Everton but in two years time when he does the same to us to force a move to Chelsea you would be less enamoured with his lack of integrity.
If you sign a contract you do your best to honour it , a contract is a physical representation of your word , and without your word you are nothing.

You’re basically a coach in that role. Barely play, be available for target practice. Help set the tone. Mentor kids.
I’m not bothered about the salary but I think it’s now more than twiddling thumbs.

We aren't signing Luiz. More likely to see Mangala come back.

Luiz is good mates with Grealish.
