What’s curious is three or four teams have been in for Hutchinson, yet no one else Tyler - wonder has he let it be known, he wants us and that’s it.

If we don't get him, and it's looking more unlikely, then I'd be worried at the quality of the other options left. No one is going to be cheap at this stage of August. So if you are going to overpay then get the best player available.

I think whether we like it or not we’ll have to pay Soton close to what they want. Those first few deals of summer by Man U, Liverpool did have messed the market up completely!

Even average players are going for 30 plus million.

As in they can afford the money, but not necessarily the time for a 19 year old develop. So Hutchinson the more road tested ready model with less of a ceiling then Dibling eventually - maybe.

It’s what I like about this move if I’m honest mate.

Still I’ll be surprised if other clubs haven’t checked this deal out.

Think Dibling has a higher ceiling than Hutchinson
Who he isnt bad at all, thought he did OK in England under 21 s.
He has played more for England , and more of a show in the prem last season than
Dibling who went off the boil towards the end.
Dibling has less caps only 2 goals last season so take that fact we are after him
you could make a case for Hutchinson being the safer bet.
Both could be v good Premiership player in the near future .
I think Dibling Could be an exceptionally good player.
It's a gamble.
If Moyes wants him let's hope he is right to going for it.

Putting all our eggs on a 19 year old kid heck of a gamble for me. High ceiling but very inexperienced and a club willing to price him out. We should call their bluff and look elsewhere.

For where we currently are, its a huge amount of money, similar to paying Grealish a huge wage which comes with a risk. We simply have to get as many decisions right as possible with very little room to get a big money signing wrong.

See how it pans out isn't it mate. Would be great if we found a couple of 15m future stars from abroad though, pad the squad out whilst not paying such a premium

Yeah the option is either to probably overspend on one of our targets or wait and hope a loan deal appears. As much as it would frustrate me a lot, I think there is a chance they wait it out till the last couple of days of the window hoping something comes up.

Agree with all that mate, though wasn’t very impressed with Hutchinson if I’m honest , something exceptional about Dibling. My one reservation about investing in him, is I’d be surprised if he’s ready to play 40+ games a season for Everton.
