Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Our current situation is not good.

Not good at all.

We're a season long injury from making do and mending if any of our central defenders pick up a bad one.

The CM lacks a destroyer.

Our attack looks insipid.

We need 4 or 5 in and should have had at least 3 of those in by now ready to start the season.

The summer window's not far off being a calamity so far.

Well said Dave

It’s a team salary cap or bust at this point. The time for a ‘gently, gently’ approach to fixing the problem has long past.
It's going so far away from the fans.
It's just basically all about money with the odd blimp like Leicester getting rarely happening.
At some piont its going to come to a shuddering halt, couple of big clubs going bust.
I am honestly getting less intrested by the year.

The talk is of Daizen Maeda leaving Celtic and PL clubs are sniffing.

circa £20M valuation.

We should be in for him. The feller can slot.
I was keen on him at a stage last season just not sure how he would fare against better opposition each week.
His mate Kyogo looked a worldbeater up here til 18 months ago and has since moved to France where he didn't score a goal, and now Birmingham.
The standard of defending in SPL is midtable Championship at best

Anything between English clubs seems way overboard.
Thing Zat is right look abroad better value.
We need to find the diamonds in the rough, so to speak. There has surely got to be a handful of talented players in lesser leagues - such as the Danish, Swiss and Belgian leagues - which could come in and improve our side. Annoyingly, we tend to sign players who have played in those leagues, but only after they have joined another foreign club who go on to charge sky high fees for such players.

Thierno Barry, Malick Fofana and Dan Ndoye are notable examples of players who now carry hefty price tags, yet came from these lesser leagues. We need to exploit an untapped resource, rather than pay top dollar for young players who are not much more experienced than the players you could pick up from the smaller leagues across Europe.

We don't seem to be involved with Juventus anymore. People will continue linking us just because of the earlier Luiz negotiation that Everton walked away from. Next it was Nico Gonzalez, and now Vlahovic. It's pretty suspicious to be linked with every player a club is trying to move. It's really just trying to connect dots on adjacent pages. They don't really fit, but they seem close enough.

all of juve for sale lol

Wrong move for Kyogo. He only got given 6 games.

There's something about Maeda though. He's a real predator. Very direct. Probably ends up at Spurs or Brentford if we dont go for him.

I dont fancy going into this season with Barry and Beto, that's for sure.
