Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Nothing to do with TFG, we can see they want to put the money in, they sanctioned a year loan paying £225k a week for Grealish. We’ve had bids accepted and players say no, we even had Tete lined up but Fulham offered him improved terms so he stayed put.

If this window doesn’t work out as it should and we have difficulties next year, then TFG need to act and sort out the recruitment team. If they don’t then it’s their fault for not taking action. But you can’t blame them in their first summer window. It’s also not like we’re some great destination at the moment. We’re still perceived as a basket case of a club, with 30 years of failure to prop us up. Majority of players will be advised to steer clear.
Yeah Im not questioning the TFG intentions at all but I also feel like this was a big opportunity this window to finally addressing those areas, we've needed an actual right back since about 2019. I get that it's the first window and stuff so I will wait till the end of the window to fully judge but I think they can be blamed if those areas aren't addressed as ultimately they put the people in charge and based on how the windows gone so far it feels like it's not clear who is actually making the final say. It definitely shouldn't be Moyes and I'm getting the impression Angus is referring to him too much but maybe I'm just making some big wrong assumptions which I hope I am tbh. I know we're maybe not that high up in terms of a destination for a prem club but a lot of foreign players are attracted to playing in the prem regardless of club and when you throw in our sexy new stadium there are definitely plenty of players abroad we could get at much better prices than current links. Apologies for sounding like a miserable arse I just can't believe we haven't addressed that right hand side
