Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

He needs to sign by midday tomorrow. The deadline today only applies to Liverpool and Bournemouth. The deadline rule is midday of the previous working day before a team plays. Saturday to Monday games would be Friday midday. Friday games would be Thursday midday.

I thought this initially, but have also read it needs to be done before the "round" of games starts (12pm today).

Hopefully it's tomorrow so we can sign 5 people tonight.

Seriously how many people are going to state we should have bought a RW and RB at the start of the window, do people mean when they say it we should have signed any right back or right wing???

How do we know they didn’t try? ? It isn’t as simplistic as just going and buying whoever we want whenever we want. We were trying to buy 10 players, from clubs who don’t necessarily want or need to sell, then the player needs to want to come, then we need to negotiate a price and agree terms. Do people think the club have chosen not to sign key targets for shits and giggles!
It’s sensible posts like this that will have the crowd ( with wet bedsheets and pitchforks) baying for your blood

Not at all. If he pulled up at first twinge and it wasnt a bad one he could be back on the grass in ten days

I pulled up with literally that a few weeks ago, left the pitch, straight home for ice and ibu and it was sound in days. It was obviously a minor strain. I’ve had others that take a lot longer and kept coming back

My point being, both him and myko could be light pulls as opposed to bad tares

There is hope yet!
Can you play RB ??

Hutchinson wouldn't move the dial and would cost as much as Fatawa
I think he’d move the dial in the sense that he’s actually a right winger and we have none whatsoever. He’s nowhere near as bad as everyone’s making out either, I reckon we’d look at it much more favourably if the fee was £25m + add ons. Think we’ve all rightly got our hearts set on Dibling as he’s such a hot prospect, I imagine the club would’ve preferred our bids for him not to leak as the fanbase now have pretty lofty expectations for that right wing role.

It’s Thursday now. If we completed a deal today (not happening) they likely wouldn’t be starting on Monday. So better just to relax and accept we will be playing on Monday with what we have.

We can still put a side together. Disappointing to have overlooked key areas. But Coleman right back or Keane Centre back. And an attacking 3 of Grealish McNeil Ndiaye or Alcarez is still enough to beat Leeds

An AI will hallucinate and make up stories based on similar ones that have happened to other players that have things in common.
Please don't just "ask AI". Look at it's sources, if it gives you any.
AI will reiterate lazy journalism generated down the pub using AI from the same speel and agenda given to them from player's agents who are all trying to finance their winter breaks in Barbados.

That's the kernel everything is spun off.

Can Coleman actually run ?
Think it obvious what the team will be
O’Brien, tarks, Keane LBack? Myko may be fit.
Gana and garner
Ndiaye KDH grealish
Barry/beto

I'm hearing we're looking at strikers, we are still in for Dibling, Mykolenko might be fit for Leeds, Coleman won't be, Patterson has interest in Germany, and Iroegbunam has admirers in the Championship. Ipswich lad is fancied too.
With a bit of practice you can learn to block out those voices in your head
Take it from one who knows 😂

Another year of recruitment at Everton where there is a lot of right but also a lot of wrong and abject failures. To not have recruited a RB or RW at this stage is disgraceful really, no matter how difficult the market is. It just takes one injury to completely change the dynamic of the squad.
Yeah but to look at what they actually tried to do. The first strong link and almost first signing was Tete (shortly after Alcaraz). Didn't happen.

But shows the priority was seen and acted upon early.
Second, strong links were the rw - Kubo and then fofana.
So, I reckon that these were priorities that didn't happen due to the players, market and our recent history.
Not, especially because of incompetence (which i admit we've seen enough of).
All the signings we've made were planned but the timing can't always be influenced.
