Where will Everton finish?

Seeing a surprising number of ‘pundits’ on social media channels saying we’re in danger of the drop or were their pick for relegation.
I certainly don't have that feeling, not sure we will do much to get excited about either, but relegation, for the first time in a while isn’t something at the forefront of my thoughts for the season.

Must either be Kopites or general know nothing fans from Scab 6 clubs.

Most recent was Barry Glendenning (Deputy Sported ed for The Grauniad) on MaxRushden‘s TS show.

We had these options last season for predictions:

1. Where will we finish?
2. Player of the Season.
3. Surprise of the season.
4. Flop of the season.
5. Top scorer and how many
6. Will we change manager?
7. Any wild predictions.

Any relegation shouts in the media is purely for engagement and clicks. No one with a brain seriously thinks that.

4th-8th ... the quality of the Premier League isn't that great, we have a good defence and a decent run im the starting fixtures should give us some momentum

Can chalk a good few points off that now.

It’s 2025 and another Everton manager will be playing a back 5 with Michael Keane and Seamus Coleman in it at the start of a season because he’s got no senior options at right back or left back and one first choice CB available.

Absolute shambles.
Harsh but fair.

All this auld talk of a new era has been shown up for the blather it is. No right side - at all. Coleman - who should have been replaced before Covid - is still in situ, injured. Keane, who should have been ejected years ago, has been extended. Injuries are inevitable - now we have bulletproof Keane in line to start with Branthwaite out again. He'd survive a nuclear winter, that fella.
