….Phil McNulty predicts 12th;

12) Everton

Last season: 13th

Everton enter a new era at a magnificent stadium under owners the Friedkin Group and with returning manager David Moyes hoping to build on the revival he inspired in the second half of last term.

And a summer of transfer frustration finally brought the big reward of the potentially game-changing acquisition of Jack Grealish on loan from Manchester City, following Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall's arrival from Chelsea.

Grealish has plenty to prove and a World Cup to aim for. Have Everton pulled off a masterstroke?

It was also a statement of intent that defender Jarrad Branthwaite was given a new, long-term contract. He will be vital, as he was last season, along with defensive partner James Tarkowski and goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

France Under-21 striker Thierno Barry is a work in progress and may not start, so much now depends on the final two weeks of the transfer window, with right-back still a weakness, and central midfield needing to be bolstered.

I feel better with my prediction now...

Though at the same time. Dirty.

Agreeing with the McNumpty.

Especially, as Phil had Palace in 7th or some such nonsense.

14th to bottom is a tough call.

We're definitely between 12th and 1st.

I think we’ll have a slow start, but gain some momentum towards christmas. Then we will get battered over christmas and fall out of the cups, but slowly start picking up points again and finish strong-ish.

9-12th, if we get another couple of good players in, maybe we can get 7th or 8th.

Teams I expect to finish above us based on current squads.
Arsenal
Man City
Liverpool
Chelsea
Spurs
Villa
Man U
Forest
Bournemouth
Newcastle

We could finish anywhere between 11th to 16th IMO.
Palace about to be mugged off for Guehi and Eze before the window shuts but Glasner is a shrewd manager and they seem to buy better than us.

West Ham could be anything, same with Fulham and Brighton.

Think Brentford and Wolves might struggle.

No idea with the 3 promoted teams.

I'm really looking forward to the season starting and feel we'll be pushing for a European spot. We have some exciting players that can change games. If we add Dibling, we'll be even better as a team. As with all things with the Premier league, officiating will play a part in determining where we'll finish.

so one has us ok
one 15th wtf
and one that if JG doesn’t do it
wel fall apart wtf

i HATE all journos pundits etc
