Everton Youth Teams Thread

To early for a loan for Graham? Something a bit mad like League of Ireland or Scotland?
I expect he's following the Armstrong path so that will be the question come January. He'll be expected to play most of the national league cup, EFL trophy and European games for the 21s plus another youth cup campaign, that should be a nice varied season with lots of opportunities for lower league scouts to see him.

21s clash with senior side Monday which will make selections fun

….i read that as though they were playing against each other but I’ve worked out they both have games on Monday

Moyes will pick his travelling squad regardless.

I am reminded of 60s when there was always a pre-season game v our reserve team at Goodison, usually well attended.

….movement off the ball is impressive, in the lead up to that 1st goal he’s dropping deep then playing on the shoulder. Robbie Keane vibes for me but some of his movement is Rooney-like.
His movement off the ball is very impressive as is his anticipation for the ball, he smells the moves like a natural poacher of goals, love the kid. I thought he had gone on the American tour wondered why he didn’t play.

I remember when Brian Labone played in one of them as a very young player, on a Friday night if I’m not mistaken, it wasn’t long after he was in the first team.

Don’t know how much truth to it, but sounds like there may have been a contract offered to Lachlan Allen (16yr old GK from Australia) who has been training with the team for a week or two and was on the bench for the PFA game?
And there he is. The annual academy keeper signing which we all crave.
2 this year… DFG means business!
Good luck to both of them 💙

If we dont waste money on another CF for the 1st team then he could be fast tracked through the u21s into the main squad.

Can still play in certain u21 games while training with better players.
