Simply put highlights the need of signing a right back - if we dont then it basically means Keane is third choice right back for the season.

Bit oh well I'm sure Keane will do a wonderful job ensuring the young lad at left back is settled and given advice through the game ....

For a team that dominated possession. Carsley played without a traditional 6 (Gomes and Jones) and Garner spent 70% of that tournament positioned as a defensive midfielder. Similar to the role he had against Man United.

Garner can do a job, but what he did for U21 has nothing in common with playing right back for Everton.
