Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

How does this work?
Dan: Well Dan how's things?
Dan: Not bad Dan what's up?
Dan: We are interested in buying one of your players?
Dan: We aren't interested in selling.
Dan: We can give you 37 Million for Dovbyk
Dan: No not interested,
Dan: Are you open to negations?
Dan: No
Dan: Well the offer is there.

Bit surprised it didn’t progress with McAtee.

Apparently he was a top target of ours, but City increased the price from £25 million to £40 million, which put us off.

Now he’s on his way to Forest for around £27 million, I’m surprised we didn’t progress the deal. Apparently his preference was Everton, so presume we went cold on him.

Where would he even play

So the price was 27m and not the 40m that made us go cold

Listening to the @The Bobble podcast earlier in the summer. Think he was an early priority of ours, and we valued him at £25 million. Then with MGH having a £60 million release clause, City revalued him to £40 million, thinking £25 million was cheap in the current market.

Just seems a bit odd that he’s now going for not much more for our initial valuation.
