That isn’t true on Kubo. It’s law to have the release clause, it doesn’t have to be met. Players in Spain have release clauses up to £200m in some cases.

Fofana would be got for less than Dibling. If he wants to move us another matter but he strikes me as better value.

We’re all just speculating though, aren’t we?

We’re looking at paying around £40m for a 19 year old winger with two goals to his name last season.

It’s a lot of money, I think the club would even admit we’re overpaying in the hope he develops into a top class player.

Kubo allegedly has a very large sell on fee due, which is the biggest issue with his current over valuation.

Doak was previously valued at 20m, so 30m wouldn't be a great deal IMO. Also coming off the back of 5 month injury and he's hardly played since January.

Ha...But as @Daytripper mentioned he's definitely got a touch of Waddle about him.

He well built with great feet.

If you watch some of Waddle at Marseille he's strangely similar.

Is Doak better value? Cheaper but is clearly not robust.
