The last Merseyrail services are all after 23.30 hrs.You would hope that some extra trains would be running later when night games occur. Would be really poor from Merseyrail if not.

Did you try putting the old broadsheet Echo over it to create a draft? We weren't too bad in our house, we had internet but it was coal powered. Was terrible getting it started in winter
The cars not a no no for a night game if you live 40 miles away and are worried about missing or the last train being cancelled. Loads of car parks within 25 minutes walk what will cost you about a score. Its 15 minutes to walk to Sandhills anywayLast train ( as long as not cancelled ) is 10.54pm from Lime St. (40 miles home) Daytime matches not a problem but any midweek night matches would be a worry to get back in time. Would have less than an hour with added extra time minutes. Thinking Sandhills straight into Lime St. Car was easy at Goodison cos parked on Stanley Park. But car now probably a no no.
Just a score to park then walk 25 minutes ! On top of the £70 ticket £10 burger £4 programme etc. No wonder football has gone tame. The cars not a no no for a night game if you live 40 miles away and are worried about missing or the last train being cancelled. Yeah when the autumnal weather arrives the plaza could prove a very bleak place.Came from West Kirby and trains were fine easy got a seat. Chose to walk from Moorefields as wasn't sure how sandhills would cope.
The one caveat to the positivity I would say is the legends match meant the fans left the ground in dribs and drabs.
The test will be inclement winter weather in a proper PL match as more people will want to arrive as close to k.o. as possible and all leave as one and maybe not hanging around socialising in the surrounding area as much.
Yesterday was a carnival atmosphere so be interesting what a 'real' game will be like.
I will park there for mid week matches. Ok it’s as bit of a walk especially a wet night in the winter, but it is safe and secure.Liverpool One Car Park is £10.20 after 5 pm thru til 9 am the next morning.
It's about 30 mins walk away
