Never heard of counter-offers from the selling club until now and this seems to be their second such offer.

If that's the case then you'd see scope for an agreement. Surely all along the main issue is the amount of the payment upfront and not dependent on add ons.

Soton are doing Evertons job for them here. You could argue that Everton could sit on this for another fortnight and drive a harder bargain still but if Soton are being reasonable then they should look to get it done.

Yeah the stuff about a west ham bid for Fernandez as well late yesterday with supposedly setting his price at 49m quid but willing to negotiate.

Given Fernandez apparently is the one they're keep to keep this summer and west ham are broke, suggests they are leaking stuff to make a sibling sale go down easier.

Reckon about 45 with add-ons included get this done now

Our last bid was £37 mill with add ons mate.

Paddy Boyland reckons there is £10 mill difference in the valuations.

So just north of £40 mil prob get this done - thats the £3.5 mill, the bobble has mentioned.

Think it’s clear Dibling is the one they really want. If they’ve made their minds up collectively that he’s the one, then push the boat out that little bit further and get it done. Saints have sold less talented players than Dibling for more in recent seasons (Lavia 50m) so it’s really not excessive in 2025. Ramsay (decent player sure) is a fair bit older and much less of a ceiling and going for 40 million.
