What I would say is that, assuming KDH is the number 10, the one weakness I see (assuming we end up getting all the targets we want) is how we progress the ball through midfield.

If the idea is to have a midfield two of Garner and Gana, even after new additions have arrived, that will be the big area of concern imo.

Yes as much as I like Gana we need another option in there. We have some big units in defence and upfront but physically lacking in the midfield and could get overrun. This is the engine room and no point having Grealish and N'Diaye if they are starved of possession.

We need someone imposing in there, to supplement Gana. The links to Florentino Luis are encouraging. There might still be something with Lopy too. We certainly need someone else in there, even if it's on loan.

Well you replied to me and dont appear to know who the player is, otherwise you wouldnt be disagreeing or thinking hes an adequate level performer.

The onus is on you to breakdown the player and show why he's suited for the manager.

Yeh, garner was being trialled on Saturday dropping back into defence to let job get forward from right back - was a bit weird

Tbh, if we had a real holding midfielder, that’s part of what they should do. Barry used to be excellent at just stepping into the space left by the full back.

Problem is, we don’t have a real DM. Unless Moyes is wanting to convert Garner into that and once Gana goes to Afcon, it’s becomes Garner and KDH as a midfield pairing but a more defensive minded Garner.
