Grealish is better central and Ndiaye has never looked particularly good there for usI’d have Grealish left and Ndiaye as the 10

No He was taking the piss. Thanks, an answer that makes sense

Think we will be reluctant to mess with 9 PL goals coming from the left hand side and Grealish will play centrally and could drift wide - id expect them to switch to find space though etc.
General rule is if you are bringing in a player who obviously will need to adapt to his role, then don't shift someone to a new role so you double the problem. Unless needed.
I think part of our negoation stance would have been in my opinion - he will be the main man here and play the role he had at 10 at Villa.
I dont think we are paying him 225k a week not to be our man at 10. (but interchangeable).
Arse.As Jim Royle would say ‘track back my ass’
Why is tracking back such a huge thing for blues? I don't want my 10 to 'track back'.
Let's be honest, we are lucky. If his family was not settled in the NW then he'd probably be off to a CL club. Pretty sure he'd get game time at these clubs.Im really happy with signing Grealsih, but i think we put a lid on it now, there is a general sense in the media we are very lucky to have attracted a player like him - i dont like that.
Sure we have been through a hard time during the last five years - sure people will celebrate getting a player with a high creative profile after being starved of one for so long - i get it.
But we're Everton football club, one of the most historic and successful clubs in the history of English football, we are paying him 225k a week - we aren't lucky - we are paying a good player, very well for a service.
To be honest i doubt many were cueing up to pay him 225k a week, good player that he is - that's a lot of money.
Its a deal that works for everyone at this moment in time - but i dont feel hes doing us a favour coming here and we are lucky, which seems to be some of the reporting around this.
Thanks, I put in a lot of hours on this one. I couldn't even focus on other transfers as my tiny head can only do one at a time.Still finding it surreal finding "confirmed signing" next to his name on here.
Huge credit to everyone for getting this over the line and how quickly it all happened as I thought this type of ambitious move would only have a chance of happening on the last day of the window.
To get Jack in a week before the season starts is brilliant and I think starts the new era off nicely. You can tell with his opening interview he has the bit between his teeth to prove a huge amount of people wrong that he is washed up. Him and Ndiaye in the three behind the CF is going to be brilliant to watch, just need someone quick on the right now and that is lightyears ahead of what we've seen since 2021.
If people are still miserable now about the transfer strategy then I don't think there's much else to help you.
Think the Grealish transfer will convince Luiz to come here aswell as they enjoyed playing together at Villa for a couple of years.
least we know the beer belly claims are gone.
