Don,t Southampton and other relegated clubs get parachute money as well for relegation Dibling will go near transfer deadline day

As far away as Dibling seems, with the little info out there, it still seems to be the most likely of the linked players. Weekend gone I was thinking probably 70% chance this gets done. More thinking 60:40 in Southampton's favour that it doesn't right now. However, suppose we will see what the supposed final offering from Southampton will be tomorrow.
Southampton’s favour right now would be selling him for an amount they are happy with.

They are actively trying to sell him - perhaps because he doesn’t want to be there - and I think Everton can smell that.

The current t lull is down to us giving them space to sort themselves out and lower their demands.

£40m, no sell on fee. Take it or leave it. They need the money far more than we need this kid.

Don't get me wrong, he'd be an exciting prospect but there are plenty of other RW's out there.

Don't let a tin pot club like Southampton dictate the fee. Liverpool got Mane from them for £32m, for context.
That was about 7/8 years ago prices have moved on from then.

Newcastle paid £45m for Gordon off us who is at similar level

….i suspect Soton are wanting other suitors to come out and more closely meet their valuation. That’s my thinking. Our ‘final’ offer is on the table, if no club comes in to better that before the end of the month, then Soton will want to do business with us.

It’s a dangerous game to play, especially if we do acquire another option.

£37m for Dibling, Michael Keane (valued at £18m) part exchange, 50% sell-on clause for any fee we receive over £120m in case of a future sale (if we sell for £240m, they get £60m), £15m if we win either the Europa League or Champions League during Dibling's contract with Everton.

Total potential transfer value up to £130m.

Surely they would accept that.
