Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

It’s like we can only work on one deal at a time.

Can no one multi task at Everton?
Nope. There’s one guy but he has to go over and over and over the contract sheet before player signs and sending it. Prob the same doofus who’s made signing players take an age for over 20 years now. He must be the one deals need to go through to be able to complete. He needs to go.

WHAAT?????
I'll stand by this. We've been playing a 4-3-2-1 all preseason with two no.10s drifting wide on the transition. We can continue to play this formation, Ndiaye and Grealish as both of the '2', given the freedom to drift on the left and right. Not everything needs to be a rigid 4-3-3 or 4-4-2, it's not Dyche ball any more.

Pickford
O'Brien Tarks Jarrad Myko
New 6 Gana KDH
NDiaye Grealish
Barry

On the transition, KDH pulls up the left hand side, Grealish central, NDiaye on the right (or flip Grealish/NDiaye), then on defense, KDH pulls back central and we have a midfield 3 again, no wingers.

A new 6 is necessary to sure up the midfield and allow this freedom, Garner just doesn't have that in his locker

Whoever we get as a 6 will have to babysit the RB until we bother to get a proper one.
Doing this is what makes Garner look as if he’s constantly out of position in the midfield.
