Transfer Rumour Tyler Dibling

I know, it's frustrating, but it's not an imaginary hierarchy. It's one which the clubs who are in it, work hard to maintain, both in their marketing, media management and lobbying of governance.

Look at Newcastle - richest owners in the world, just won a trophy and playing CL football, but still considered a feeder club.

It's dog eat dog.
Ok, not imaginary, fabricated is a better word. Twenty five years ago the idea that Chelsea, Man City and Tottenham were at the top of some hierarchy would've got a lot of laughs. My point was that Evertonians patronising Southampton and their fans, suggesting that they are embarrassing themselves and ruining their own reputation is, frankly, bollocks and is essentially what all those eejit Man Utd fans were doing to us last summer and everyone was very cross about that. We're in no position to big time anybody anyway, even if it wasn't a Richard move.

I wish I was wrong , but I don't see Southampton budging at all.
I dont believe there is any mysterious 2nd offer or a game being played out in the media either.

I've said it before look at the Romeo Lavia transfer ( £53 mil fir a raw 19 yr old ) and not so long ago the Van Diyk transfer. You can negotiate all you want but they set the figure ( as we do Stones, Lukaku even Gordon & Onana ) We'll do the same with Branthwaite in the future . If you don't match the valuation walk away.

As I said I wish I was wrong because I really do like the lad and think he'd do very well for us.

I've also said we will break our transfer record sometime( stood for 8 years and counting ) i believe the club would have to do that to get this lad.

Given saints are putting bids out on players and decent offers too, I think they will have one big same to pay for those, and it'll be whichever offer out of Fernandez or Dibling is the better

Seeing as lot of people saying our fanbase are acting like utd over branthwaite....

Theres some crucial differences...

Despite some poor recent years we're a Premier league ever present, utd are a basket case but Southampton are a yo yo club at best....

Utd we're willing to spend £60+ on a one season kid from France, when they only wanted to pay 50 for jarrad (knowing we were quoting 75+)

We're supposedly only 5, 10 tops apart...

I like the lad and I'd like to see him come here, but hes also nowhere near as far along development wise as branthwaite is..
