Player Valuation: £50m
….steady on.
As in a great boost signing.
Im not claiming its the start of a title charge.
Grealish walking out onto the training ground is a boost for the squad.
….steady on.
Really hope Moyes puts him down the middle of the park, and not stuck out on the wing like he was at City.
any actual reports on the financials of this deal?Leaving aside the other business, getting a loan like this done on August 12th is fantastic. I know it’s close to the start of the season, but it’s still quite far out from the window closing. Probably helped that he is on 300k a week and not many clubs can approach anything close to that number, but I’m still pleased. Was thinking this might be cherry on top type of signing at the end of August when they didn’t find any takers for a permanent.
He says talks with Toffees manager David Moyes were decisive in him choosing to move to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
"I'm over the moon to have signed for Everton - it's massive for me, honestly. This is a great club, with great fans," said the England winger.
"As soon as I spoke to the manager, I knew there was only one place that I wanted to go. On social media, I've been flooded with messages from Everton supporters, so there's that side of it as well and that's another reason why I chose Everton.
"I want to say thank you to the fans for all of the messages I've had already. Thank you for all of the love and support. I hope I can repay you now and I'm sure I will."
Everton boss Moyes said: "I think we're getting him at a good time because he's experienced, he understands the Premier League and we're all fully aware of the levels he's capable of performing to.
"We're all looking forward to working with him and providing a platform for him to show the best version of himself."
Moyes mentioned weeks ago when asked if he wanted to bring in players to lower the average that we needed a mix of youth and ready to go experienced players.“Understands the PL” is the key take home comment there….
My thoughts too mateMoyes mentioned weeks ago when asked if he wanted to bring in players to lower the average that we needed a mix of youth and ready to go experienced players.
If the experienced players we bring in are KDH and Jack Grealish I’d call that a win. Literally 12 months ago it was a real possibility the experience we’d bring in would be Ashley Barnes and Charlie Austin.
Simply a question of subtracting 8How can he play as number 10 when he is number 18?
