Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

A focus on players with PL experience is a bit weird at this point, it's not like we're lacking in that department so I don't really see why it should be something we're particularly keen to ensure players have, other than us just not being any good at scouting outside the PL.
it says likely mate because Myers is just stating the obvious like always. I think GOT have to reach to him and give him an account on here so he can spout his rubbish on here instead of Twitter lol

Think it's just a throwaway line to be honest. Better just saying 'Premier League quality' but I suppose that would just be stating the obvious..

Any club that doesn’t seemingly have an open cheque book have found it a struggle this summer. We’ve been rapid compared to most.
AnY ClUb, nonsense, we needed about 7-9 players and the season starts soon, we've not got them yet/still, we're gonna start the season's first few games with a CB at RB and no right winger in the squad.

Please come back to this line of thought when we have new signings needing time to bed in for the next few months, for another poor/middling at best start.

6th of the Summer, 2 in less than a week, I suspect it's just a case of you pissing your pants tbh.
0 right wingers, 0 right backs, we still need players.

I know it's extremely hard to comprehend apparently, but I'll just quote myself from literally 3 min ago:

We've done well to sign these players and they're decent, but it's still quite late and getting later in the window, which is proper Everton that. Two things can be right at the same time - we've done decent business, we haven't done it on time and will start the season with players "not ready".

Your intial post complained we haven't been fast since we got back from America, we've signed 2 players since we got back and trying for a 3rd before Monday.

If you stop staring at your phone 24/7 maybe the transfer window won't seem so slow paced.

Right wing still the priority, “premier league experience”. Rule out Fofana, Dibling has premier league experience, the lad linked from Leicester yesterday has played like two games in the Premier League? Not sure if that really counts who knows.

Right back reeks of James Justin.
Post Grealish and KDH, I personally would be disappointed if we keep targeting that age profile in our additional business. It’s not a slight on those deals, I think both have good rationale. EPL experience of course could still mean someone under 25, if certain veteran quality is cheap enough, fair game as stop gaps. But the window has teetered between future oriented deals, to then present value contributors. I for one can understand the current overall additions collectively, but ultimately to avoid Moshiri mistakes our eyes in transfers has to predominantly be in two to three years time, not simply next week.
