Giving the wording from Romano he's deffo getting fed the Mcatee story from Forest. His here we go expected soon tweet is now half a day later - forest optimistic a deal can be done in the next 24/48 hours.

See others which suggests forest basically offered the same deal as last month and city still want 30+

forest are a clown show and they would obviously be happy to feed romano whatever. He can't really push back if it is false info, because then he loses an easy source. Makes him less reliable.

Unfortunately the lad seems to live on a different planet in terms of his expectations and actual reality.

It speaks volumes that no one has signed him. He will be left hoping a club comes in for him as a last resort when their other targets fail to materialise.

Expect him to sign for someone come TDD.
Technically since he's on a free he can sign with a team whenever. I think at least until end of September. Can't recall about registration tho.

Havent seen anything from Barry (yet) to suggest he should start ahead of him.

Only one game like but Everton were far more effective in the first half than the second, but to be fair I do like Beto, but he hasn't been great pre season, but it's still up to Barry to win the shirt off him or Beto to lose it. Did see some good things off Barry on Saturday, one of two tricks that Beto hasn't shown, the flick over the advancing defenders foot by the half way line were he just ran away with the ball. Barry's ceiling does appear higher, he does seem to possess a better first touch, but it's early days yet.
