Can’t see mcatee AND another winger coming in. I think that would be overkill for those positions behind the striker for now. I’d rather another striker come in if we were getting 2 attacking players, someone who offers something a bit different to the 2 we have who seem quite similar in a lot of ways.

Absolutely adored the toon strips in the Post. I thought my dad was the only one who used to buy that Sunday Paper, as I used to go for it from about the age of 10 in the early 80s. The results pages I thought were one of the most detailed out there too.

We’re a squad of 23 at the moment, we will get either another two, or 4 and Armstrong and Chermitti will go on loan.

Personally think Armstrong will get six months and Tim the other six.

So prob another 3 after Grealish - would be my take.

Honestly, the future is fine, but we need players who can provide an immediate upgrade. Grealish and Dewsbury-Hall very likely do that. We need more.

It's easy get excited after a day like today, but I don't think that excitement survives closer inspection of our business. We are on the way to a significant improvement in our squad, but if the window closed today I'd be pretty underwhelmed.

We need more quality.

Yep I can appreciate seeing is believing, but just bringing the paper up brings back happy memories, simpler times and a Championship winning Everton x 2

I do wonder if the recent signings (or rumoured ones) might have some of the "no thanks" transfer targets maybe rethink their stances.

Being reported as essentially done by Romano, saw the athletic say close but no deal been sorted yet,looks like forest and city differ on the fee.

So true, even though at this point it hasn't seemed the priority it was when Tete turned us down. I think the next 2 weeks and maybe even deadline day itself, we will have a few agents in ears re a RB signing or we have already done our checks and know who we want.

Not half as you said earlier 20m ish seems far too cheap. I feel we'd have snapped him up ourselves if it waa that low a price.

Everyone chatting about RB but with a question mark around Myko and Aznou only arrived should we be looking at a more experienced LB ? Or does he try Patto ( not fit I believe ) or Seamus as a LB ? Still think we’d need a 6 . I’d try Hojberg on loan . Try get him back to premier league
