I’m excited to see him play, certainly has quality. But I question whether this was the best use of resources. He doesn’t have the pace for a counter attacking team and where does he fit in? On the left? As a 10? Age 30 next month, his best years at Villa far behind him. Thankfully no obligation to buy. I loved the KDH signing but the Grealish loan seems more like the old Everton not a path forward. Is a one year and done loan going to entice good young players to sign? The wages alone could have been allocated to a RW. Trusting Moyes can get the best out of him but does not advance our long term objectives in my opinion.

I think im coming round to the idea of Grealish. We need ready made players who can slot straight in and improve the team. He is that, he offers a lot to this team that we dont have. Creativity, winning fouls, flair. I think we will see more of the free role Grealish from Aston Villa than we will the Man City version who was not the same. Im excited to see what he can offer

Not your money so TRY to be HAPPY !!!

Looks a decent signing if we have offset the entire cost to an option to buy for the whole sum. It makes sure City can't recall the player and if Grealish performs as well as we are all hoping for him. We can try to buy him for his market rate then. Smart enough business from our side.

Grealish is not quick…but his mind is…so he will release the ball quicker, allowing attacks to progress quicker.

Compare that to Doucoure last year. How often would a promising break…fall apart because of his slow and at times baffling decision making. Never mind his stray passes!!

He is also a big name and might help to attract other players who up-to this point have been hesitant to join.

If he gets us to even up to 10th place in the league he’s paid for his loan, with increased prize money

Top eight should be the goal this season. So many clubs will be dropping points due to Europe.

It seems like palace are going to be stripped for parts which isn’t great for them. Part of me hopes they can stand firm, even Newcastle (I know there isn’t much love for them) keeping Isak is totally the right move. The big scab clubs stockpiling talent was getting ridiculous 20 years ago it’s far beyond that now
