Obviously nobody is paying £50m for a 31-year-old winger at the start of next season, so it'll be interesting to see what happens if he helps us have a good season. Perhaps the club can negotiate down to about £30m, or even a second season loan. In any case, a no-lose situation for Everton and a great signing.

They won it in 91, 92, 93, 96, 97, 98. Don’t care when the season started you quote the year in which they actually won it.

It’s like saying the 94 Everton squad because we won the cup in 95.

Not fussed on Mcatee, always thought it would be him or Dewsbury Hall and think we got the better option with KDH as he has more pace.

Right winger, right back, CDM and it’s been a very good window.

The problem at this stage of the window is that all players we want to sign as right sided attackers will cost an awful lot of money. There's a real possibility all these alternatives, who maybe aren't as good as our previous targets, cost just as much or even more as we get to the end of the month.

The decision might to overpay on someone we like, overpay on someone we don't like as much, or then we are left hoping for a last minute loan which is far from ideal.

Dont think they will loan him to us for another year after we pip them to the Champions League spots
