Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I don't see why a future sell on fee impacts the affordability of any deal today.

Plus its a sell on clause of any profit. So if we bought Dibling for £50m, kept him for 2-3 years and sold him for £70m, we would only pay 25% of the profit (20m) to Southampton , meaning £5m but that is an issue for the hypothetical 2-3 years time not now in my view.

At worst, it could make us think its too much but it certainly wouldn't impact on any signings today.
It impacts value of the deal. Dibling currently is clearly not worth 50m. He might never be. So what we are paying for is potential.

Could see us playing with Ndiaye, Grealish and Dewsbury Hall as a 3 behind the striker

Therefore I think we might go with a hug the touchline type like Fellows or Doak to vary things up if Dibling doesn’t happen

I would be perfectly happy with Doak over Dibling.

If the RS sign Isak, they could do with shifting some players on and I think he is now very expendable. The pathway is completely blocked.

Only problem is RS know we have 40 big ones in our ass pocket

It is called desperation tax.

We are in the top band.

Even with potential and a crazy market, Dibling is not worth 50 million.

Hopefully this recruitment team can move on from buying exclusively at vastly inflated prices from relegated clubs, CL clubs rejects and Man bloody United.

Please ignore my earlier post about wanting Doak!!!

This has prompted Everton to look at alternatives, of which Ipswich star Hutchinson is one, along with Chelsea youngster Tyrique George and Leicester ace Abdul Fatawu
