Seen him a couple of times, so can't really judge looks lively and likes a tackle.

I guess the point I am making badly is: yes there were lots of factors around psr failures and lots of issues about buying older players or ones that could not cut it at EFC. Siggurdson played over 130 games for us - not a bad return compared to Klassen, vlassic, Lookman, rooney MkII etc.
Money wise was the overpay that big and did it compare to how much we wasted on others?

Probably not to be fair, mate. We wasted an enormous amount on some real rubbish that contributed nothing. I'd say Schneiderlin was a bigger waste of money for starters, but as our record transfer fee coupled with a dubious departure, he stands out. There were definitely bigger wastes though.
