Wasn't he the one who handed the memo to the journalists saying Denise was put in a headlock?

Whether he typed it up or not, if that is what he did, he participated in brandishing the fanbase as thugs. He and his family should not be welcomed in the boxes at the new ground like it seems they are/will be.
He's enemy No1 as far Evertonians go in my opinion.

….never been a footballer I liked but Moyes looks to bring in players that fit how he wants to play and that’s how it should be.

No doubting his quality in possession, he knows how to look after the ball. I see him more as the type to break down a blanket defence (@Neiler) rather than a counter attacker but he’ll be ok in that aspect too. Stands defenders up before skinning them rather than running past them with pace, hard not to think he improves us even if I’d prefer others.

The unknown is whether he retains his hunger to play. Posters mention the forthcoming World Cup but I think that ship has long sailed, I can’t see him being involved. Fingers crossed we get him in, certainly a different quality loanee than we’ve had for a long time.

Yeah read that too. It was a journo's opinion though I think - albeit a reasonably credible one.

If true though it would make this a no-brainer.

Only way I could see that working at that figure would involve so e form of weird deal where we actually bought him and city agreed to make up the difference for his first year of wages

The family of Dixie Dean not to be welcomed at the new stadium?

Bit much that.

A player like Grealish will improve most teams and will certainly improve ours.
Time will tell how effective he might be but there is no reason why he should not be at his very peak. Just turning 30, is not particularly injury prone and just seems to like playing football. I think he will be allowed more freedom at Everton and found the game he was forced to play at City very restrictive for the type of player he is.

Regarding the finances , if he has a successful season for himself and us then it is cheap, if not he can be added to a long list of expensive failures.
I expect it will be a loan with an option to buy.... if a deal should somehow be agreed.
