Surely he has spoken to Moyes already then and he will have a good sense of what he would hope to achieve by coming here, surely to regain his place in the England squad, but more broadly to help Everton get a bit of lift-off even if it's just for a year. I'd imagine James Smiths input would have been critical here too even with him on gardening leave.

I have concerns about his motivation and hunger as do some others but all things considered and with how the summer has panned out to date it's not an option we can pass up at this stage. I thought this was one that would be dragged out right to the deadline but that he has given the green light himself to this relatively early is a good sign I think.

It’s now being reported that Everton will pay £90k per week with Citeh paying the rest (£210k).

Don’t know if it’s true. If it is, that’s a much better deal for us.

I think you can comfortably throw KDH in there too

Perhaps yeah, Grealish, KDH, and Gana is quite a bold midfield 3 like ha ha you'd have to ask KDH to play much more disciplined, which could be a minor shame as he looked great in a pseudo 10 on Saturday driving with the ball. However, I'm slightly contradicting myself there as I'd said it's great to have options and selection headaches!

If you can sit down and without injuries pretty much pick the team you'll start the game with without fail then you simply put have a crap squad.

Its just modern football now innit. You need the continuity of a core few but yeah it's a squad game now

Personally I'm guesstimating agreement of deal today. Medical tomorrow, reveal Wednesday.

Think he'll only make the bench for first few games though. It doesn't sound like he's had many games pre season with the CWC and pep freezing him out.

Think he'll come into his own after the first international break. So people need to hold fire losing their heads if he doesn't do a great deal before then.

There's no world in which we get him for 90k/week without a substantial loan fee. The package we pay will be at least upto the cost of his wages unless city get really desperate to remove his wages from the books. All imho of course

I'm happy most of the time mate. It's just Everton's BS merchant officers and owners and their media helpers who annoy me.
