Confirmed Signing Jack Grealish

So pleased I found this. I got freebies to watch City play away not long after Grealish joined them. I was truly baffled as he stood right on the touchline, when he got the ball he slowly backed the full back into the box, threatening to do a step over but never doing one. Once inside the box, usually a double team came over and he rolled the ball back to the left back, or if possible to Silva/KDB more centrally. They’d either try and switch wings quickly, or just reset and do it all again. Occasionally Silva would come over to cause an overload, then they’d switch it.

Literally spent £100m to use him to drag defenders out. It was horrible to watch, and he looked bored senseless. But they won.

I find them boring to watch to be honest but what they do has worked for them over the years so what do I know.

If we get Grealish this bumps the squad up to 23, some very decant players in there, who push former starters to the bench, couple of more (which we will) and we are in the smiles and grins business and stronger then last year.

I really dont see it tenant way. We have a lot of players who simply wont play that much. Patterson is atrocious; Coleman is not getting many games; Keane wont be overly used unless we get a RB in that leaves JOB to deputise at CB; neither will Chermiti get a lot of games as he's not good enough; kids like Tyrer and Heath wont get much of a showing and will probably go out on loan.

It's not a strong squad. We need proven players who can start games.

I'm in the pro Grealish camp.

Moyes bringing in players that don't look like a rabbit in headlights when they receive a football at their feet.

Actual footballers.

The amount of money outlay looks better or worse depending on how you frame it.

If it ends up being no fee but we cover 250k of his wages. It's no different to say... paying a 5mill loan fee and 150k wages.. etc etc

It's not a move I envisaged us making (nor Dibling, if it transpires) but we need the creativity and kickoff is next week. It's mad those wages.

I know Paddy to have a pint with and straight up he’s a really good egg, a fine blue and someone with integrity - he will call out when warranted.

My opinion only but we’re lucky to have a journalist like that who covers us.

Brother says similar about Paddy as he interacts with him sometime for work, reckons ze mystery hat man is also a good lad too.
