New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Overlooked it. My ticket said enter by gate 16 so I did what it said on the tin. Now I know about the lifts at either end of the East stand I’ll be heading for them.
Must admit I’m a bit puzzled with entry gate info, in so much as if it’s all open inside, why do people have to use a specific gate?
Thinking about this issue with gate 2 on the north stand…..
My dad is 82 and had knees and hips replaced so can’t be going up flights of stairs to get to his seat.
Hopefully he can go in a turnstile nearest a lift / escalators and straight up that way.

If im honest, beautiful new ground aside, it was a shambles yesterday from start to finish. Every aspect of the actual ‘event’ was poor. I was blown away by the stadium but the business element was terrible

They got two weeks to sort it butthe food was basically the same (new blue,£6 doughnuts left everywhere) (don’t be a vegan/veggie) The queues were WoRSE than goodison and they ran out of beer! Few stewards, terrible counter staff, water pissing in through the roof (wasn’t raining), san Miguel machine broke, the directions to find your brick/stone were calamitous- thousands of fans wandering around staring at the floor- shocking

Yes it’s early days but many of these things are basics, it’s like we’ve just picked up the same format and dropped it in a new ground

On a positive, the ground is ridiculous - the most compact ground I ever been to, steep and amphitheater like - will be bouncing on a proper match day

Also, san Miguel on tap - win win
I mean this is worrying to me. The water coming through the roof is worrying as it wasn’t even raining.

I don’t like the idea that that’s it now. I feel like there should be another few tests events as we can’t risk crushes or broken escalators etc. I don’t get it. There are always going to be queues but there should be people monitoring the queues and then saying in headphones, walkie talkies etc, no more people down here etc. All seems poorly organised to me.

I thought it was straightforward. As said previously we found out two stones and a friends stone that wasn't there basically straight away.

This would be my main complaint about the stadium too. Doesn't bother me too much but it was a lot of extra steps for my Dad that we weren't expecting.

I'm hoping that for future games we aren't locked into going through turnstile 2 and therefore forced up the very soviet stairs.
Yeah it's ridiculous especially as its an adult only section so will have a lot of pensioners. I was taken aback by that being a decision. Not very premium at all

You'd hope this kind of feedback gets right back to TFG and they make instant decisions on how to improve people getting to their seats, ensuring the premium sections are that, "premium", and sort out the bottle neck sections in the concourses that people have mentioned.

It did rain for a short while late in the second half mate .
