Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

If we've moved on from having the likes of Harrison as starters to having better players ahead of him and the Harrisons of this world as substitutes, I'll consider that as progress.
I'm expecting evolution, not revolution
I agree about evolution rather than revolution. I’d rather give the lads coming through a place in the squad.

He’s shown nothing of over 2 seasons here and would be a waste of wages in my opinion.

It’s sad how every year Everton are happy to sacrifice the opening fixtures of the PL by not recruiting early enough.

From what I’ve seen so far in pre season, we are going to struggle again in 2025/26.

I hope the club can get another 2-3 key signings in this week but I doubt it.
I actually can't stand this line of thinking from fans yeno.

Whether we've made 'enough' signings yet or whatever, we still have a squad of players to prepare and 3 games to play before the window closes. Absolutely no one should be 'sacrificing' any games and if that's seriously the mentality then that is a disgrace and a clear dereliction of duty from the coaching staff..

They’re just not having him are they. He simply can’t stay there and this will force Leeds’ hand in to accepting a loan.
I certainly don’t see him as the answer, and I wouldn’t have him as a starter. BUT, although he offers little in the attacking third, he’s disciplined and gets through an awful lot of work. If we can get Dibling or similar through the door, let them start games and do their thing. But if we’re hanging on late in games Harrison would be a handy bench option to bring on to help see games through with his defensive discipline and work rate.

I’m sure people will immediately jump all over this but they need to think this through. We’re currently bringing on Issac Heath as a bench option on the right hand side.
Wasting a loan slot on Harrison would be worse than wasting 5 million on him. You can get many better players than Harrison on loan, you can't get many better than him for 5 million.

I know yesterday was only a friendly, but you can see why we’re still crying out for four or five starting players. We need another striker because, knowing our luck, if Beto or Barry get injured, Chermiti is nowhere near ready. whoever we manage to bring in over the next week hopefully go straight into the starting 11 against Leeds.
I'm sorry mate but any signings now will not be starting against Leeds.

It's how Moyes works, they'll need training sessions and a couple of sub appearances.

We've missed the deadline for season start, so I'd say most of the signings are now going to deadline day unfortunately.

Can people please quit chatting about Jack Harrison, why are they so obsessed he's crap and Moyes returned him. Move on and quit typing posts about him he's not even our player. Good grief chaps spend the time cleaning your house or treat your mother instead you will feel better for it.
But,but,

Grealish would be fun but still doesn't address that right hand side, and the players we have are mostly favouring the left... its just barmy at this stage and Dibling seems like a chase that may never succeed too..

Bored of talking about it the lack of pace in our team is maddening. How many years have we needed pace? And a right winger don't care about excuses we clearly also don't target it

Desperate non ironic Harrison shouts now. Tell me again this isn't currently a failed window.
It’s not a fail, it’s just average. We’ve brought in LB cover which we’ve needed, a back up keeper which we needed after letting 2 go, a striker which we needed, a CM which we needed and kept a popular player from the second half of last season which the club would have been vilified for had we not made it permanent

I’d have expected we’d have gone in for another RB after the Tete deal didn’t materialise but it sounds like the Norwich lad might be a choice and we are pushing for both Grealish and Dibling which would sort another issue

Hopefully the last season of this because should never really be bringing in the amount of players we need to this window.

Would prefer another but if it helped us spend on a rb and did get him on a cheap loan then yes.

I’m not saying we will buy him but you’d think Leeds will (subject to PSR) have to write this one off. Also, I would expect that Jack is realistic about his salary having lucked in for 5 years!
Question is… would anyone buy him on a free and pay him 50-60k pw?
It wouldn’t be the first time Leeds have done this… they are still paying Fowler his weekly wage aren’t they?
