New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

I thought it was great, and I’m a miserable sod.

Bound to be teething problems, but overall I think it was brilliant. Plenty of places outside the ground to get a pint and food and that will increase over time. Once the club realise that they might drop their prices.

Be interesting to see how they segregate the away fans on the fan plaza and getting in the ground etc.

View inside the stadium. Absolutely brilliant. Agree with everyone else about the need for more “EFC” but that will surely come. Was looking at the digital advertising banner opposite over on the West Stand which wraps around along the North Stand and I presume the East Stand too. Now that would look amazing with a static Archibald Leitch Criss-Cross replicating the old Goodison Main Stand. This would instantly raise the Everton identity inside the ground.

There should be a recognition of the club's past achievements with banners of our past honours.

As for Leitch criss-crosses: they're not peculiar to Everton. What is peculiar to Everton is...erm...the name 'Everton'. And that's hardly to be seen (spent too much time and effort catering to emblazoning the name Hill Dickinson - some no mark company who've gained massive brand identity at our expense...the parasite calling the shots to the host).

It's not good enough. People need to identify with a new facility. It's not there to be just commercially exploited. It has to feel like a stadium that belongs to us.

Did not see these lifts when i was in the Club View concourse so would be interested if anyone can say if they used them, will be looking for those in future.
lifts are circled in this image

They won't.

This is it now, we are on the premier league gravy train and to compete we will need to rinse the fans out of everything they have.

Searching every fan that entered was a surprise. I think people made an effort to get to the ground earlier today but that won't happen all season which is going to make for some interesting queues at 10 to 3.

In terms of atmosphere I think we are going to struggle but that's as much to do with the fact it's been poor at Goodison for years as well. I would say that you can already tell the upper section of the South Stand are going to be seated for the majority of the game. Frustrating that we had to split that stand in half.

Another good point about yesterday, lots of first time goers/day trippers in the ground, taking it all in and having a good look about, maybe caused some of the congestion etc. That will settle down with the season ticket holders getting in there.

Won’t help with the mess that was going on behind the bars though - nowhere near good enough and miles behind what other stadiums are providing. We’ve got the best seat possible for football by miles, the rest needs to catch up.

Hope the Friedkins get it all sorted quickly.

The North Stand was very congested downstairs at half time. Worse than what you'd get at Goodison. Don't know if it was a case of people just needing to walk round the corner and go to different bars but could barely move through the queues to get across.

There were 5 of us none were searched.

Got charged £3.75 each for 2 pints of Stella I’m going to seek out this lad every home game 😜😜😜

Went into one of those self serve kiosks, where they have about 10 pints of lager already poured, the queue vanished quite quickly as you have you're bank card scanned on entry. It takes £20 automatically and I took 2 pints, which were nice, of lager and today it took £13 odd out of my bank. Don't know how it knows what to take out, must be camarad up. So much better than Goodison, a bit dear like.
