If it doesn't end up in their spam folder, because there are certain words or phrases that have flagged as such, it'll come through to their servers, only to get some sort of automated reply, which is not only insulting, but proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that they don't give a toss.

Something along the lines of: 'Dear football fan, thank you for sending us your suggestion. We hope that you are as enthusiastic as we are to begin the new season !!!!!!'
... Followed by a bunch of marketing and promotional BS.

And then, just to add insult to injury, they'll probably put his e-mail address on the marketing and promotional mailing list without his consent.
