Thoughts on today
- fabric of the place inside and out is top draw. They couldn’t have done a better job
- food outlets in the concourse need better planning for queues and bottle necks
- I caveat this with the fact it was a friendly but the acoustics had a hollow echoey sound - not the intensity of Goodison
- south stand upper bar remarkably easy to get served at and the views across the city are unrivalled
- the staff everywhere where first class
- regent road was and will become even more so amazing as more bars open
- it is not Goodison and it will not come close to the place in terms of intimacy, atmosphere or intimidation.
- we will make it superb and unique when we settle in
- the tannoy is far too loud

Yeah, I went in that one, and was a nightmare. Something not right there, as most other gates appear to have been ok. It’s a test event, so hopefully has identified whatever problem it was, so they can put right.
The problem with that gate was loads of people were in the queue for gate one on the left so in the wrong place, then there was a queue to the right same turnstile.
Which was mad.
We got there about 2 pm and the steward said stand in this queue , which was basically in the middle of the other longer lines and we were in after about 5 minutes.
The stewards need to get used to which place people should stand ect they were like lost sheep, I know someone who is one and they basically got told to go over there.
Not the training you would expect.
Suppose its all teething problems.
That gate 1 could get lively at certain games as they are right next to the away fans.
Good view from are seats.
Amazing stadium .

Loved it.
Took my Grandson and first thing we did was to head straight for his stone on Everton way.
I was as proud as him to see his name embedded forever at our fantastic new stadium.
The highlight for me however was to come just after that.
He said "Come over here Grandad, there's another one for you to look at."
My Son and Daughter had ordered a stone for me which I knew absolutely nothing about.

The acoustics had far more intensity than the upper gwladys! I didn't even know the announcer's voice sounded like that
