New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

Exactly yeah, that's why I'm keen to see how the set-up looks like. I'd assume there's only a certain number of people allowed in at any one time and there is somebody working to ensure nobody gets in without tapping in.
It was a weird lane sort of thing, barriers with entry points. Tap your card for a holding £20, then there are staff behind the drinks bar and food like in a supermarket, you pick up and walk out

Yeah that won’t be there for long. Imagine is playing someone like Liverpool or United and pounding them 3-0 at half time. That place will be ransacked.
Yeah I imagine so as well—there will be loads simply jumping over them barriers and helping themselves. It won't cause people to have money deducted from their cards if they're buying like a regular paying customer (due to the tracking), but I can't imagine this system will last too long.

My experience. Got there in loads of time to get in, but the queue in to 2 in the North Stand was ridiculous. Missed the first 15 mins of the game. When we eventually got to the gate, seems like the problem was a result of people trying to get in to, or being directed to the wrong gate.

Gates 1 and 2 were completely empty but queues of hundreds for gate 2. Something not right in terms of organising. Sure they’ll learn and sort it out.

The concourse in the north was chaotic. Couldn’t get a drink, or anything else at half time, the grab and go queue was daft, and the other drink kiosks were rammed (and a couple which weren’t open, with yellow shutters down, presumably, once they’re open, it will help things).

The stadium bowl itself - incredible. Was amazed by how steep the north stand was. It’s a genuine stadium built for football, and Will be fantastic for a proper game, when it gets a bit snarly. Views were fantastic.

Didn’t take public transport, walked to and from the ground from town. A decent walk, on a nice day. Will have to rethink in January.

Invisible Wind Factory was ace, before and after, they were giving the pies away free after the game, which was a pleasant bonus.

Think it will take a while for them to iron the kinks out, but when they do, one of the best stadiums in the league, without question.
Great comments, concur mostly was in the SE Upper and yeah the concourse was a bit chaotic service wise. However, as you say step on to the actual bowl. It's world class. It's was pretty noisy for a friendly when they walked out, lord knows what it'll be like for a derby 👌👌👌

As I mentioned earlier pain in the a*** to get into gate 2 and then a climb up what seemed like a mountain of stairs to get to the North West corner. But WHAT A VIEW !!!

Would make perfect sense. I'd love to see some pictures of the place where they've got it installed. I wonder what happens if somebody uses an expired card or a debit card with no money in the account. They get to leave with the goods then get a letter in the post and banned from the stadium?

Hopefully that would make people think a little more and realise it's not worth it to even try.
They would decline the card n the gate wouldn't open

Genuinely such a world class stadium. Incredible.

But to be fair the F&B effort was woeful. Gave up trying to get a drink in club view. Never did that in the park end...

Based on the facilities I could see - I agree with what someone emailed the site saying they've missold clubview, be interesting to see how they deliver it once it starts.

Yeah, I went in that one, and was a nightmare. Something not right there, as most other gates appear to have been ok. It’s a test event, so hopefully has identified whatever problem it was, so they can put right.
[Poor language removed] event or not what can they change?
