I think in fairness there was good and bad in that performance.
We were playing a good technical team.
Thought we got cut open too easily at times
But we played some good stuff around the box that didn’t quite come off. Had chances as well.

Concerned about the left back though.

Roma lost 4-0 at Aston Villa during the week.

I think we faced a bit of a ‘response’ today.

Myko injured early on today and no idea how long he'll be out for.

Still though - we absoutely shouldn't be shifting our priorities based on this either way.

There’s the outline of a very good team, but we’re short in numbers and most importantly quality.

For 60 minutes we were comfortably in the game today, after subs you could see the difference in quality.

You would think we have to look at Roma for a right back: Zelik and Rensch on the bench for them both seems losing out to Wesley

The loan market will come into play in the next 7-10 days. Granted it might be too late for Leeds but will happen soon

A good pre-season wrapped up today, with a total of 1 victory against the all-conquering Port Vale.

We’re surely nailed on to make a better start to the season and not be in and around the bottom 3 from August to Christmas for the fifth year in a row.

Pleased with some of the transition play today but we do need a LB, RB, RW minimum before the close of the transfer window. Another DCM/CM would be nice too.

And if someone could put a dinner on the spotlights and increase the gain in the mic then that would be splendid.

Doubt we buy another left back even if Mykolenko is injured but a right winger and right back are needed along with another centre mid and attacking player

Its not the result that worries me its how thin our squad is

The subs we were bringing on were players starting a lot of last season (McNeil, Beto, even Tim at start of season).

The bits we are lacking, are areas that will probably be filled with loan slots. (Obviously barring the RW that we need asap)

They will happen before the end of the window. We haven’t made any loans yet, I would be astounded if we don’t take any.

Literally the story of Everton Football Club for donkeys. Our chance conversion rate is abysmal and its everyone that seems to get in on the act - not just the strikers. Its really frustrating.

Fairly strong Roma team although Soule didnt start. Villa at home are one of the best in the league tbh.

Yeah but we aren’t signing any more strikers, not after what we spent on Barry and Beto. Unless we get an older one on loan. We need need players who can literally put the ball into a position even our strikers can’t miss.
Sibling and Grealish completely change this team.
