Not once have I said anything about having the finances to spend more than those six . Not once.

My point was about Beto, he is mediocre in my opinion, and you are saying Barry isn’t as good as him right now. I don’t agree with you, the kid showed more awareness and movement then Beto does, Beto is cumbersome to say the least!

Exactly. We had Gordon-rat, Moise Kean and Lookman to name a few.

Inexperienced players need faith, trust and time to develop. Only a select few would thrive in a new country, new league immediately. If we want to compete, we need to allow mistakes for young players. We dont have the resources to buy the finished articles.

Please, you said "What would be the point in signing players who are no better than what we have?" to say theres no point in buying a player who isnt better day 1. I pointed out the obvious reasons why.

How do we develop young players if thats true? How does that mindset keep fans from jumping all over 20 year olds anytime they struggle? Incredibly short sighted. Developing a real club, a real dominant force in the league takes a lot of patience and LONG term planning. The coming years are going to see us buy a lot of young players to develop, they will almost all be no better than what we have currently, and fans need to embrace that.

Im not saying we shouldn’t develop younger players , and yeah I did say what would be the point in signing players no better than what we have because I don’t agree with your comment on him not being better than Beto right now!

I think Beto is poor and this kid already has something about him that he will be a better player than Beto already, his movement in particular is already better.

Im praising the kid not writing him off !
 
I think they've been very clear that they know that Barry is raw but believe has the potential to be special based on their data analytics and his rapid development. He's had a non-standard trajectory, pushing himself up from amateur football and making a few big leaps without the kind of elite academy background a lot of top prospects have.

Thats exactly what we should do and show patience.

I think once one or two young players come good then the fans will start to see the benefits of the strategy and the mentality will shift.

I may be wrong here but i think he wasnt a quick hit at his last couple of clubs and needed a handful of games...then he stepped up.
