Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Would we be able to spot them ? Nice to have you back Fred . You don't know you will miss someone until they are not there ! Have you started hunting for a place yet ?
There's no rush in that regard Blue. No takers for their own house which they are now also considering renting out. There's little interest being shown in Sam's house after the initial flurry, and there's little interest being shown in the property business which includes the freehold to the close. So they would want Peter to stay in situ until all this is sorted which means he's in no hurry to put my house up. So my original plan to start looking in the autumn still stands although I may just have a little look beforehand just to see the sort of thing on offer. At least, from my perspective, Rob's house is bringing in a bit lower rent than he was hoping for so that lessens the chance of him increasing mine with it coming up to it's 6th anniversary.

Just had my first listen of it this morning and enjoyed. Guitar led music is definitely enjoying a renaissance.
It get's better with each listen mate. What I love most about this album is that the slower ballad tracks, which is what lets down the majority of indie albums, are actually the best songs on the album. I can't remember the last time a male songwriter came out with such raw vulnerable lyrics. Brilliant album from start to finish. I honestly can't choose between Cariad, Shivers and Ballad of John Denver for my favourite song.

Saw the Keogh brothers (Keo) interviewed at Boardmasters yesterday. Didn't realise they were from Plymouth.

Edit. I meant to say Spinning. But Shivers is a V good opener

You're getting worse than me with these bi-weekly best album of the year shouts
Haha. First one I've done C. I may have given The Lathum's a bit of a shout earlier in the year, but generally album quality has not lived up to lead singles promise. Until now. Up there with Wunderhorse and Fontaines from last year for me.

Having said that I'm hoping to add a couple more to the conversation later this month. ;)

For raw lyrics it’s hard to beat Nothing but Thieves, particularly Broken Machine.

The Royston Club sound like they have been around forever. I mean that as a compliment to them.
