New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

That's annoying...trains from Cressington to Sandhills every half and houršŸ‘Ž

I actually think any South Enders will be better getting the 82 into town, especially considering it's one every 10 minutes.
Cressington can’t handle eight car trains yet due to the platform length, which has meant at Aintree they bypassed the station.

This might be an issue if they go to peak running.

I won't be there, but if I was I wouldn't be able to drink pints on the way, and drinking beer is my hobby.

I pee every 20 minutes once I start.
That'd be my issue as well.

There's nothing worse than going to a game and having to go to the toilet at regular intervals. I'm alright for a few pints - but once I go the seal is broken and it becomes a habit...

Weak bladdered wonder, I am.

Wouldn't it have been an idea to play more games at HDS behind closed doors so the players are more accustomed? Think we will have only played 2 games there before the Brighton game

Platform is on a corner as well if they had longer trains the guard and driver can't see the other end of the train.
They were supposed to be putting screens up for this but don't know if they got around to it.

I’m fairly confident they haven’t as I use it regularly and never seen them. Understandably, it’ll be one of the last for a lift, too.

I think it was the legendary @Noggsy blue yesterday who managed to capture the stadium with full digital advertising on display. It was a magnificent sight. As those LEDs beamed around the stadium, it finally hit home for me. We've moved into the 21st century. A quarter century, late, mind - but better late than never.

Reckon I'm gonna be an emotional wreck watching this yenno.
Watched it grow from nothing, bit by bit appearing out of nowhere, countless hours with my face pressed against the railings watching cranes shift bits of this and that about, snatching what photos I could to share with everyone on here.
Worrying about where the money was coming from to get it done, owners nowhere to be seen, or heard from, while it crept towards completion on the drip, seemingly borrowing from anyone with a few dodgy quid to spare to push it forward.

And yet somehow here we are, opening day, 53 thousand blues high on excitement and anticipation all heading to our new home, many many thousands more sat watching, soaking up every bit of info shared by those blessed enough to be there.
So proud of our club and what we've achieved getting it built.

Hopefully today is the day when we show the football world that Everton are back and they're coming to get ye.

Enjoy every minute of today fellow blues, be proud, be excited, be noisy.

Onwards and upwards

Summed up in a sentence.

Never forget.
