I will go for £8-£9.
It`s normally about 5.50 in a pub, so I`m going for 7/8 a pint.
I wouldn`t be drinking it out of a plastic glass, as it`ll go warm very quickly and won`t taste very nice.

I’m expecting £6.50/7.00 , I’m in Club View so the plan is 3 of us in a round using our £10 credit towards it. Two of them are going on Saturday so they can find out the price, although I don’t know if they’ll have a pint without the credit. I paid £6.20 for a pint at Coventry City in April , they had a very wide selection of beers so I wonder if they have the same arrangement as us with Budweiser. What do you reckon they will charge you for that mate?
No stereotypical real ale drinkers here.![]()
I thought people would disagree as too low.I will go for £8-£9.
Ooh, not seen that one, really like their ales.View attachment 320407
Lovely malty pint of traditional bitter - Silver Stallion 4.2% - Exmoor.
@ste d' indica in your neck of the woods - Highbridge, Zummerset.
Likewise.Ooh, not seen that one, really like their ales.
I pick up the CAMRA magazine all over the place, I’m always impressed by the amount of work the local members put in.I had this the other day, quite fruity, very nice. If you'd like a bit more detail, here's some nonsense :
'A: bright reddish amber hue with great clarity, coming with a thin beer head and very low carbonation.
S: dried-fruits on a par with lightly caramelised sugary malts, while Styrian Goldings aroma also abounds at the back, with its mildly spiciness, orangey hints, and a mildly apple-ish fruitiness.
T: like all other Loddon's brews that I've tried, this ale shows a deep imprint of lively, predominant hops, featuring Fuggles deeply herbal and wet tea-leafy notes and Styrian Golding's slightly spicy edge, both buttressing semi-roasted malts and bitter-sweet yet dryish nuttiness. Lingering, slightly tannic, yet moderate bitterness of dried leafy hops help prolong the aftertaste.'

Also had a peerless Peerless.

Also picked up the local Camra magazine - Wirrale Drinker - snazzy name. There's a few interesting bits and bobs in it, which at this moment in time I can't be arsed posting, but will do when the mood takes me.

On Wednesday I had one of my rare ventures into St.Helens town centre and by sheer coincidence I called in at 'officially' the three best pubs.I pick up the CAMRA magazine all over the place, I’m always impressed by the amount of work the local members put in.
I’ve been to The Cricketers a couple of times , it was CAMRA national pub of the year a few years ago. I’m planning on going to St.Helens Town FC on bank holiday weekend via The George, by the station. On Wednesday I had one of my rare ventures into St.Helens town centre and by sheer coincidence I called in at 'officially' the three best pubs.
Had a pint in The Cricketers (always my first call) then The Turks Head and then The Lamb.
Whilst I was in The Lamb there was somebody from CAMRA presenting them with an award for being voted 2nd best pub in town.
When I asked about other results I was told that The Cricketers had came 1st and Turks Head came 3rd.
