Looks like a Muscovy duck.

Yes he does, he not moved from this spot for a couple of days, I've just been informed that someone's coming to collect him later.

Could be or abandoned, he's a bit fat, maybe not had much exercise, it's a home for abandoned and injured ducks

Update on the duck or "Elvis" as the locals have named him, he was took to a place called Brockswood Animal Sanctury in the West Midlands and he has settled in rather well as he is outnumbered by a few females, so living his best life.

Got back home earlier to the sound of numerous fire engines, went out later to have a look what had been going on, it seems some young girl set an area of the reserve on fire hopefully no wildlife harmed.

Had the BBC on our reserve this week, some rare butterfly not seen in Britain for over 100 years was photographed so they sent the cameras up to see if they could spot it. They reckon they have been released by someone but the Reserve not big enough for them to survive long term.
