Wish you’d have spoken up before now mateI have no faith in this recruitment team. They do not have a clue what they are doing.
That is 150% not what happened is it, you silly goose?Classic Everton stunt to deceive fans that there's a glut of players coming in to get on top of criticism: throwing in fantasy bids in for players we have no real expectation of buying / getting on loan.
Why did people expect better?
Pay it - he’s young, a full international & he’s an actual right sided midfielder/winger.The RS want £20m according to TheAthletic
Pretty sure a release clause is something agreed on with all parties - players, agents and club - so don’t think that can be changed without consent. More likely there isn’t a clause involved, just the selling clubs hope/expectation changingThe release clause was at first £40 million, we bid £35 million. Soton said no.
The release then went to £45 million, we bid £35 million plus £8 million add ons. Soton said no.
The release then went to £50 million plus 25% of any profit on a future sale.
Everton didnt increase their bid.
I mean we were promised absolutely nothing to be fair.
Never knew you felt this way? , until now you've seemed very content with the recruitment processI have no faith in this recruitment team. They do not have a clue what they are doing.
Well let’s look at what’s happened so far.But your whole argument is about how Liverpool have done that with Isak meaning Newcastle may accept a lower price.
Firstly, very similar has happened in the Dibling situation. But there’s no way of knowing prior to that situation playing out whether saints would accept lower or not.
And for all intents and purposes, there is nothing to suggest Newcastle will accept less than their valuation as no deal has been done for Isak and they remain clear they don’t want to sell and would only sell for £150m.
We literally tried what you said we should be doing, even though your example of another team doing it hasn’t even worked at this point.

Buy plenty of overpriced beverages tomorrow and a new bid goes in for Dibling.. but seriously £7.05 for San Miggy
The buy back deal LFC are putting in is ridiculous that's what made us withdraw in the first place if you read the rumours if he shines for us we only make 10 million profit something as stupid as that .... it sounds cheap but if he stars for us they get him back for peanuts .....Do we go all out for Doak now, abandoning the Dibling deal?
Or do we hold out for Dibling, and miss out on Doak... or potentially both?
I have some sympathy with Moyes and the recruitment team trying to bring in a high value RW - it isn't easy as Newcastle are repeatedly finding out.
However the inability to bring in either a PL standard RB is nothing short of disgraceful.
