Yeah but we've got progress now, who needs brass bands and parks in the city centre when you can have asylum seekers hotels.
Edit; I've been back twice 2014 & 2017 and I'm coming back in Sept...I doubt I'll be back again, it's changed too much.

Saw some fantastic bands there.
Saw Pink Floyd there one Friday night around 1969-70. They were but one of 10 or more acts, the only one I remember were The Klubs a local 'heavy' band.
Anyway they stopped halfway through the 2nd song song, the singer said...not working this is it - and took the band off.
I have no idea what the songs were, thinking back they were obviously trying to move away from acid rock and trialing new Wall type stuff.
And he was right it wasn't working, it was Friday night ffs we'd all turned out to rock the night away.
After about 10 15 mins they got The Klubs back on and away we went moshing the night away.

I went to try & get in to see Slade of a ticket tout not a ticket to be found Dave Hill fell off the stage & broke his leg :lol:
