I still think we sign Dibling. And, my gut feeling is we get Grealish too. The leaks to the media so far, if you've noticed, are ones that generally favour Southampton's negotiating position. This one favours Everton's.

Southampton want the money, or they'd have shut this down ages ago. Problem is, they want all their money - which is fair enough.

I agree. I know they get parachute payments but that is used to secure their finances for a year or two . If they manage to get 50 million or so , they can do a lot with that in the window especially in the Championship.
I don’t blame them at all .

It’d be a good deal but there’s the Madrid factor that’s gonna put many suitors off

The problem we have with OBrien is that he has looked shaky when played at CB while being solid at RB.
He won't get a game unless an injury to Tarks or Jarrad after he has been really good for us since Moyes brought him into the team.
If we brought in an attacking RW then it may suit us better to have an out and out defender behind him

I'm a bit unsure about an out and out winger and out and out defender on the right. They both need to do a shift for each other if we get caught out of possession.

O'Brien will be a very good CB in time. But I dont see him as having the tool kit for RB in the modern game. He's limited in what he can do going forward.

We need a RB in urgently.
