Everton are, always have and always will be a bigger club than Spurs. He should choose accordingly!
This is nonsense I am afraid. History counts for nothing Id say. over the last ten, even twenty years, spurs blow us out of the water for everything

Sad but (I think) true

We have a very squewed view of ourselves when it comes to the word of football

Their attendance is nearly double ours btw - not that that is my reasoning.

Isn't at some point, football supposed to be about actually enjoying watching the team and players though.
yes but you have to earn the right to that by running your club appropriately properly

That hasn’t been us for nearly 30 years now

It is what it is

We need to accept that there’s going to be a bit more slog until we can have some joy

If we’re run properly now we can enjoy the harvest in 3-5 years knowing it’s there for the long term and Evertonians after us can enjoy it as well

Short term pain for long term gain

It’s that or going back to what we just had under Moshiri

The club needs to be run properly and the ship fully righted

Profile doesn’t win you points though, does it? We’ve been down the “statement signing” road before and it got us nowhere just big wages and bigger regrets. If we’re dropping £12/15m on one lad, he better be more than an Instagram influencer in boots.
Rodriguez?. And what a signing that was. I actually enjoyed watching us every single game because of him. We haven’t had a player like that since. Grealish would be an amazing signing, you’re just proof there’s an Everton fan that will moan about everything.

This post is spot on.

We need accept our club won't rise from the proverbial ashes immediately. Hopefully our new owners, the new stadium, everything positive about the club right now can start to bear real fruit 3, 4, 5 years from now.

We can begin to dream of seeing the light. But it's not automatic.

Exactly

It doesn't mean there won't be moments to enjoy in the next few years, but we have to be realistic

We were really deep in the excrement when Moshiri was looking at hocking us to whichever charlatan would pay him the most money

It's a borderline miracle we dodged the 777 bullet

Rome will not be built in a day, but in the short term we can sort out the sewage system and fill in some potholes on main street

To use the age old cliché, it's a marathon not a sprint

weve had long term pain

rome wasn’t built in a day

for ages i’ve said all this we’re years behind everyone

got to get back on track will take time

but we will and can see good football

now - the whole club is changing overall slowly this time last year

we coudnt dream of this

let’s make an everton a name again

Out of the huge number of professional footballers how many have walked away from that staggering amount of money and how many have enough that £16m is a negligible amount ?

Google which I accept is unreliable puts his net worth at around £20-30m so you think he’s greedy if he doesn’t walk away from at best half his net worth in 2 years to play for Everton ?

I love Everton with all my heart , I probably could have bought a couple of houses for what watching them has cost me over the decades but even I would have to think hard over waving goodbye to £16m quid to pull on the shirt

doesnt have to be everton. could be spurs , villa, west ham or abroad. whoever gives him game time is most valuable to him now imo
